Australia Awards – Mongolia biannual Program Coordinating Committee meeting

On November 13, 2024, the biannual Program Coordinating Committee (PCC) meeting for the Australia Awards Mongolia took place at the Local Government Hall, Government Palace with representatives from both the Governments of Australia and Mongolia, private and civil society, and the Australia Awards – Mongolia team. Discussions engaged on reviewing program activities from the past six months and planning for the upcoming 2024-25 Australia Awards activities in Mongolia.
U. Byambasuren, the PCC Co-chair and Vice Chief of the Cabinet Secretariat of Mongolia, extended a warm welcome to Andrew Berryman, the PCC Co-chair and Deputy Ambassador of the Australian Embassy in Mongolia marking his first participation in the PCC meeting. He emphasized the growing importance and prestige of the Australia Awards and their contributions to Mongolia’s development. PCC members reaffirmed their commitment to actively engage in promoting the Australia Awards and its various initiatives. Besides postgraduate scholarships, the Australian Government will particularly be proud to support Mongolia’s sustainable development -gender equality, inclusive society, climate resilience, and just energy through additional Australia Awards activities.
