Announcement: Merger of Australia Awards – Mongolia and Australia Awards – South Asia

We are pleased to inform you that, for purposes of administrative efficiency and to create new cross-program opportunities for scholars and alumni, the Australia Awards – Mongolia and Australia Awards – South Asia programs have been merged into a single program: Australia Awards – South Asia & Mongolia.

This merger will not impact in any way on the identity of the Australia Awards – Mongolia program. The Mongolia program will continue to be focused on working with and creating opportunities for Mongolian scholars and alumni; we will continue to maintain an Australia Awards – Mongolia webpage, dedicated to highlighting opportunities for Mongolians and profiles of our Mongolian alumni; and the merger will not affect any of the existing Australia Awards – Mongolia projects and initiatives.

At the same time, the merger will bring new opportunities for scholars and alumni, who will be able to benefit from the greater shared resources available and participate in whole-of-Program initiatives.

This merger has been made at the direction of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and has the full backing of the Australian Ambassador and his team at the Embassy in Ulaanbaatar.
