WLP Launch event: The 7^th Cohort of the Women’s Leadership Program (WLP) officially launched on October 22, 2020. The WLP is an 8-month comprehensive leadership and development program for Mongolian nationals who hold Masters or PhD degree from Australia. A total of twenty participants, three men and seventeen women were selected after a rigorous selection process for Cohort 7.

This year for the first time WLP Launch event was co-organized with the Mongolia Australia Society, MOZZIES.  The launch event was attended by representatives of the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), MOZZIES, AAM, Zorig Foundation, WLP alumni and participants. Dr. Alex Stephens, the First Secretary of the DFAT, MP Enkhbold Nyamaa the President of MOZZIES, MP Tsogtbaatar Damdin and Mr. Bayar Sanjaasuren the Advisor to Zorig Foundation officially opened the launch event by congratulating Cohort 7 participants and emphasizing the importance of gender equality and women’s leadership in the development of Mongolia. Following the opening remarks, the attendees mingled with one another and expanded their networking circle.
