ALL APPLICATIONS MUST BE COMPLETED ONLINE at Online Australia Awards Scholarship Information System (OASIS), the online application management database. When you register on OASIS, you will receive an email with an automatically generated user password. You need to personalise it when you first log-on to use the system.
Read the Instructions on the Scholarship Application Form carefully before completing the application.
Instructions on completing the application form and using OASIS is found at OASIS - User Guide for Applicants.
The same application form is used by applicants from Category 1 and Category 2.
All sections of the application form must be completed.
All required supporting documents must be included with an application. If they are not, an application will not be compliant and will be made ineligible. Some supporting documents will be in Mongolian and require an authorised English translation.
Check the Country Profile to make sure you have all required documents and that you know which require translated versions and which have to be notarized.
Applicants located outside Ulaanbaatar with no stable internet access must contact the Australia Awards – Mongolia office as soon as possible to discuss alternative ways to lodge applications.
Finding a course and institution
Australia Awards are available only for courses listed on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS). This is the official Australian Government website that lists all Australian universities offering courses to international students. This website is a good place to start. These Australian universities offer courses to international students.
Applicants must research Australian universities to find courses that best fit their academic background, career and leadership ambitions and which will enable them to contribute meaningfully to development in Mongolia. For guidance on researching suitable university courses, read the Guide for Researching Courses.
Applicants do not need an offer of place at a university when they apply, but they should visit university websites and make sure preferred courses are on CRICOS.
Applicants must select two courses in their application forms. We strongly suggest selecting two similar courses at two different universities. This offers more options if selected to receive an Award.
NOTE: You cannot change course selection once an application is submitted on OASIS.
