English Language Training closing ceremony

The Australia Awards Scholarship Intake 2022 awardees have successfully completed their English Language Training (ELT). The closing ceremony of ELT was held on 4 March 2022. It was attended by officials from DFAT, Australian Embassy in Mongolia, Australia Awards – Mongolia (AAM) representatives, the awardees, and the teachers from the Global Academy for Professional Education (GAPE).

In his opening remarks, Mr. Urnukh Khuujii, Program Officer, DFAT, Australian Embassy highlighted that the Australian Government has made continuous efforts to create opportunities for future leaders, even in these unprecedented times. He congratulated the 2022 awardees for their achievement and wished them success in their future studies. It was also emphasized that the year of 2022 was special as it is the 50th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Australia and Mongolia.

Representing Australia Awards – Mongolia, Mrs. Enkhtuvshin Lunden, Country Program Manager, congratulated the awardees for their successful completion of ELT. As she noted, these awardees are now joining the broader network of Australia Awards Scholarship awardees from different countries of the world by achieving the IELTS scores needed to be accepted into their chosen universities. She expressed her gratitude to the parties involved to deliver such an efficient training tailored and targeted to the individual needs of the awardees.

The students thanked GAPE team for the high-quality professional services provided, duly meeting their needs. Not only did the training prepare them for the IELTS Academic test, it also provided them with the opportunity to get acquainted with the expectations in the academic contexts and practical advices to help them achieve their goals and pursue their studies in Australia.

Besides that, the ‘Sharing-is-caring’ guest speaker sessions were found to be particularly useful for the awardees, as they claim. They are fairly confident that they are better equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed academically.
